Two New Sponsored Riders for Equi-Feeds
Karin Koep & Godwin Peterson
27th October 2013
Equi-Feeds is thrilled to announce that we have secured two amazing horses and riders for sponsorship for the next season. The first is Godwin Petersen, who rides Rivendell's Dickens for Rivendell Warmblood Stud, and now also under the banner of Equi-Feeds. Godwin has helped produce youngsters of Karin Koep's and has a special rapport with them according to Karin. Coming from an underprivileged background, Godwin never finished school and started working for Karin as a groom. His horse Dickens is only six, so is also still learning and gaining confidence. This year Godwin and Dickens won the potential dressage horse class at the young horse show, beating imported horses and professional riders. He competed at adult pre-novice level on the 26th October 2013 and came third in the warm up class. He also became Reserve Champion in the Western Province pre-novice Championship class with over 70%. He will now upgrade to adult novice. We believe this is an incredible achievement for someone who has only been riding for five years. Godwin, we are so proud to be your sponsor and proud to be associated with Rivendell Warmblood Stud. A special thank you to Tracy Robertson for allowing us to use her beautiful photographs.
We have also been lucky and privileged enough to have Karin Koep herself ride under the Equi-Feeds banner. Karin is an accomplished rider in the dressage world. She will be competing at the Dressage Champs in two weeks time at Adult Elementary Medium level on Delovely. Karin won the National Adult Elementary South African Championship recently and aims to be advanced by the end of the year. Photos of Karin on Rivendell's Delovely. Karin also has other horses at novice and pre-novice level. We are so looking forward to this awesome team riding under our banner. Welcome Karin Koep, Godwin Petersen and Rivendell Warmblood Stud.
Exciting times for Equi-Feeds! .
