Bumper crop of yearlings for EQUI-FEEDS supplied breeders

EQUI-FEEDS-fed yearlings were knocked down at 9 of the top 10 priced horses at the 2010 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.

EQUI-FEEDS supplied Highlands Stud who sold both the highest priced yearling colt, Divine's Jet, for a record R4m and the highest priced yearling filly, Enchanting Cathy, for R1.9 million. The Stud also had the highest aggregate sales of R15,43 million.

Despite recessionary conditions, overall sales increased from last year's value to R160 million and the average price of R326 378 which was up from 2009's value of R309 313. Five of the top six breeders by aggregate sales and the top three stallions by aggregate sales are supplied by EQUI-FEEDS.
